21 Aug Beachside Byron Bay Tipi Wedding
Full of bohemian chic and springlike charm, Catherine and Bob’s recent Byron Bay wedding had that ‘something special’. Standing tall in the gardens of Beach Byron Bay was a giant tipi, where the couple exchanged their vows surrounded by elaborate floral installations of white orchids, roses, gum leaves and wild greenery. The soft sea breezes filled the space with the heavenly smell of the blooms, adding another layer of romance to the day.
Uncomplicated, but aesthetically dramatic, Catherine and Bob’s love of floral opulence flowed through to their glamorous wedding reception. Guests were served espresso martini’s, cocktails, French champagne and canapes on the Beach Byron Bay terrace overlooking the Pacific Ocean, Julian Rocks and The Pass.
As night fell, the giant tipi was transformed into an outside ‘room’, complete with coastal-styled lounges, rattan ottomans, candles in brass vessels, rugs and giant floor cushions. A beautiful space for the newlywed couple, and their guests, to share an intimate moment. While inside, music played, guests danced, drinks flowed, and the night spilled on. A forever wedding made special by a forever couple.
