06 Feb colours of love – byron beach wedding
splashes of gorgeous colour and a petal filled breeze flew from the hill top ceremony of kim and stuart through to their vibrant and chic beachfront byron bay wedding reception. the smiles on the bride and groom in these pictures (by our great friend and super-talented photographer richard windeyer) are evidence of how perfectly the elements of their special day were drawn together.
with a bright and whimsical palette of wild flowers adorning every table, sleek black and white accessories and a pastel pink sunset, the wedding guests gathered to firstly enjoy canapes and champagne, while the absolute beachfront location gave the bride and groom the chance to slip quickly and quietly off to the beach for some private photos before dinner.
guests then proceeded inside to the ocean view deck for the dinner service. the entrée’s selected were chilli salt crusted yellow fin tuna with a green papaya salad and warm mushroom tarte tatin with pinot braised shallots, tarago blue and lentil vinaigrette. mains offered a choice of seared kingfish fillet with sautéed king brown mushrooms, roast scallop and artichoke vinaigrette or slow roast fillet of grass fed beef with sides of pomme dauphine and sautéed portobello mushrooms. after a night of dancing, the dessert canapés were served – hot mini cinnamon doughnuts with melted chocolate and lavender lemon meringue tarts.
with their own unique touches that were coordinated with our award-winning events team, kim and stuart were able to create their day to suit their personalities, tastes and their family and friends.
congratulations to kim and stuart!
